Write to your MP - Speak in Safety Event - Investigatory Powers Bill

Click here for etter and email template

The Investigatory Powers Bill jeopardises the client's right to speak with their lawyer in confidence and threatens the anonymity of journalists' sources and whistleblowers.

The Bar Council, NUJ and the Law Society are collaborating to persuade parliamentarians that amendments to the Investigatory Powers Bill are needed to provide greater privacy and confidentiality for these groups of people.

If you want to help, please email or write to your MP explaining that you would like them to attend the Speak in Safety event on Monday 11 April, Committee Room 11, 17.00 - 18.30.

A template email or letter is available on the link above.
