Elspeth Mills-Rendall

Elspeth, a Barrister, is a highly sought after independent facilitator and learning & development (L&D) specialist, who was instrumental in devising and creating the highly-successful Public Access Course for the Bar Council.  She is a mediator, international negotiation strategist & consultant, executive /career coach & mentor, with a proven track record following a successful career in the legal sector and commerce and industry where she specialised in intellectual property working at international organisations such as the BBC and IFPI.

Elspeth then focused on the L&D field heading up the L&D functions at both DLA Piper and Herbert Smith Freehills.  At global law firm DLA Piper she was the firm's first National Head of Training and was instrumental in establishing the L&D department and professional development strategy for all levels of lawyers as well as support staff at a time of significant growth and change. At Herbert Smith Freehills she raised the level of sophistication of the firm's existing L&D strategy. As the first Chambers Director at Enterprise Chambers she was a catalyst for change and practice development implementing strategies on commercial efficiency, business development and PR.

Elspeth uses her commercial business experience together with her understanding of human behaviours (both individual, team and organisational dynamics) to up-skill and empower individuals at all levels of seniority and teams to maximise their outcomes within the context of often fast-moving and ever-changing markets and organisations. Elspeth is outcome and resolution focused. Her meticulous follow through and on-going reviews result in successful systematic and strategic skills implementation.
