We know going to a pupillage interview can feel daunting. Come to our free webinar to help guide you through this final stage of the process. Our panel of experts can answer your queries – whether you need advice on how to answer the competency-based questions or are wondering how much research to do on current legal issues – we’re here to help.

Chair and speakers
Chair: Kian Goodsell, policy analyst: education and corporate social responsibility at the Bar Council
Kian has worked at the Bar Council for two years. Within the role, he works alongside the education and training committee to address emerging issues affecting this area and promote access to the profession. This includes organising Bar Placement Week, the law fairs programme, supporting the coordination of The Bar Council's Pupillage Fair and co-creating the Pupillage gateway report.
Kian holds a BA (Hons) Ancient History with Politics with a semester in China and a semester in industry from the University of Liverpool, and an MSc Human Rights and Politics from the London School of Economics.
Daisy van den Berg, Old Square Chambers
Daisy is in her fourth year of practice at Old Square Chambers. Her main practice areas are employment and discrimination law, professional discipline and personal injury. She has a busy court practice including multi-week trials.
Before coming to the Bar, Daisy was the Judicial Assistant to Lord Justice Underhill. Daisy has also worked as a Research Assistant in the Commercial and Common Law Team at the Law Commission.
Dr Anton van Dellen, Fraser Chambers
Dr Anton van Dellen is a barrister at Fraser Chambers, specialising in defamation, public law and commercial law and sits as an Assistant Coroner in West London. He was a neurosurgery registrar and a Fellow at Christ Church, University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Anton was awarded an Inner Temple Princess Royal scholarship, is an advocacy trainer for Inner Temple and sits on Inner Temple’s Executive, Finance, Investment and Bar Liaison Committees. He is also a member of the Bar Council, Vice-Chair of the Bar Council’s Legal Services Committee and sits on the Education and Training Committee.
Jamie Jenkins, St Johns Buildings
Jamie was called to the Bar in 2008 and practises in employment, discrimination and education law. He sits on St Johns Buildings' pupillage committee, and spends time outside of that giving advice to those who are going through the pupillage application process.
