Mediation courses
Mediation is an essential part of the civil justice system and is likely to be increasingly used in some aspects of criminal justice including asset recovery and restorative justice.
The Bar Council's mediation training, delivered in association with the Society of Mediators, is led by barrister-mediators Jonathan Dingle and Andrea Barnes, known to many and presenting already on the pupil barristers' courses in Middle Temple; and supported by up to six other practising mediators who are also accredited trainers. These include Stephen Malcolm OBE, John Sephton MBE, Zoey White, Lord Strathcarron, David Ingle and Claire Kean.
The sessions focus on providing attendees with the skillsets to get the most from their incisive listening and questioning skills, and their reputation for integrity, knowledge and ability. Mediation will undoubtedly become a major part of work for chambers and counsel - book your place at Mediation training for the Bar to ensure you're prepared.
